Our Programme

The EPE programme.

Every programme trains the same seven-step deal process, the way a fund takes a company from first look to exit. Every step leaves an artefact.

The deal process

Seven steps, the same sequence a fund follows. Students leave with a portfolio of models, memos and pitches.

  1. Step 1

    Sourcing

Is this worth a look? Artefact: go / no-go screening note.

  2. Step 2

    Due diligence

What could go wrong? Artefact: financial analysis and red-flag list.

  3. Step 3

    Valuation

What is it worth? Artefact: valuation range and football field.

  4. Step 4

    Deal structure

What do we pay, and how? Artefact: LBO or VC returns model, term sheet.

  5. Step 5

    Investment Committee

Would we bet the fund on it? Artefact: 5-slide IC memo and recorded pitch.

  6. Step 6

    Value creation

What if the plan breaks? Artefact: value-creation or remediation plan.

  7. Step 7

    Exit

Did it work? Artefact: exit recommendation, IRR and MOIC.
